Proposal to change the designation of Grove Park School

The Interim Executive Board (IEB) of Grove Park School is proposing to change the designation of Grove Park School.

The proposal is to change the type of need catered for by the school.  Grove Park School currently has a formal designation of profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).  The IEB is proposing to change the type of need catered for by the school from its current designation to PMLD, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD) with effect from 1 September 2025.

The full proposal can be viewed here. Alternatively, you can request a printed copy of the complete proposal by contacting the school by email: office@grove-park.e-sussex.sch.uk or by telephone: 01892 663018.

Within four weeks from the date of publication of this proposal, any person may object to, or make comment upon the proposal, by sending their representations to: Carolyn Fair, Director of Children’s Services (FAO: Gary Langford, Senior Manager, School Organisation and Admissions), East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE, or by emailing: school.consultations@eastsussex.gov.uk.

Any comments or objections must be received by midnight on 24 April 2025.
